Here’s what Kia Seltos offers you: Overview of the different variants
“The Kia Seltos has been built from ground-up, keeping Indian customers in mind and is equipped to redefine the segment,” Kia Motors India Vice President and Head – Sales and Marketing Manohar Bhat said in a statement Monday.
Here we further explore the range of options being offered by any car ever in India while you could visit the Kia Showroom in Bangalore and check the variants yourself, starting this August 3rd.
The model will be available in two trims – GT line, which is suitable for the performance enthusiasts, and Tech line, aimed at families. The Seltos will be BSVI compliant right from its launch. It will come in three variants — 1.5 petrol, 1.5 diesel, 1.4 turbo petrol mated with both manual and automatic transmissions. Kia is also expected to launch a plug-in hybrid variant of the SUV at a later stage.
Once launched, the Kia Seltos will be the only vehicle to feature connected car technology in its segment.
· Two trims confirmed: Tech Line and GT Line.
· Tech Line (HT) likely to be offered in 5 variants: E, K, K+, X and X+.
· GT Line (GT) in 3 variants: K, X and X+.
· Top-spec HT X+ won’t get petrol option while GT X+ unlikely to get automatic option.
So, the Seltos will be available with three engines and a variety of transmission options:

Kia will likely offer the following safety features as standard:

Let’s look at the Tech Line’s variant-wise features first.
Kia Seltos HT E
This is the base-spec, barebones variant of the Seltos, whose only purpose is to keep the entry price low.
Exterior: 16-inch wheels with covers, roof rails, shark fin antenna, rear spoiler, front and rear skid plate, dual rear muffler design
Interior: Rear AC vents
Comfort: Tilt-adjustable steering, steering-mounted controls
Infotainment & Audio: Audio system, UVO Lite which allows for remote control of the audio via a Bluetooth based smartphone app
Kia Seltos HT K
While it is possible that some of the features and details are not yet available to us, the K variant only adds a more appropriate infotainment system to the specs. This could become the entry-level variant a few months after the Seltos’ launch.

Infotainment & Audio: 8-inch touchscreen, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
Kia Seltos HT K+
It is the mid-spec variant of the Seltos Tech Line trim. It is also the entry point for choosing the diesel-automatic powertrain option.

Interior: LED mood sound lighting, rear sunshade curtain
Comfort: Cruise control, smart key entry, push-button start-stop, driver-side window one touch up-down with anti-pinch, diesel-automatic option
Safety: ISOFIX child seat anchor
Kia Seltos HT X
The X does mark the spot, to cover all the features that one would want in the upcoming Kia Seltos. However, according to these pre-launch documents, it will not be offered with the diesel-automatic powertrain and instead come with the petrol-automatic option.

Exterior: LED lightbar, LED headlamps, LED fog lamps, 10-spoke 17-inch alloys, LED tail lamps and knurled chrome.
Interior: Ambient lighting, front seatbelt height adjuster, leather upholstery, 60:40 split fold rear bench, rear seat reclining up to 32-degree
Comfort: Telescopic-adjustable steering, auto AC, smart air purifier, rear charging point with mobile holder, petrol-automatic option, tyre-pressure monitor
Safety: Disc brakes on all four wheels, auto headlamps, auto IRVM
Infotainment & Audio: 10.25-inch touchscreen display, UVO Connect range of connected car features using an embedded eSIM.
Kia Seltos HT X+
This is essentially the top-spec diesel variant of the Kia Seltos and will not be available even with the 1.5-litre petrol engine.

Comfort: 7-inch multi-information display, ventilated front seats, wireless charging pad
Safety: Front parking sensors
Infotainment & Audio: 8-speaker Bose audio system
Even though the Tech Line’s top variant is the HT X+, it may miss out on some of the Kia Seltos’ best features which likely to be offered only on the GT Line. Here’s a feature list of what can be had with the 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine under the hood:
Kia Seltos GT K
This is the entry-level variant for the 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine and is nearly on par with the Tech Line HT X features.

Kia Seltos GT X
It is the only variant that is likely to be offered with the dual-clutch automatic transmission and gets a lot more safety features and comforts.

This is likely the top-spec variant of the Kia Seltos with all the safety features, performance and comforts. However, it seems that Kia, like Hyundai, will not be offering it with an automatic option.
